New Alloy: Inconel® 617 is now available from Alloy Wire. Learn about Inconel® 617
Alloy Wire International (AWI) is heading to Wire 2018 in April with its largest ever range of High Performance nickel alloys, as demand for Inconel, Hastelloy, Monel, Nimonic, Phynox (UNS R30003) and MP35N reaches new heights.
The company, which enjoyed a 20% surge in sales in 2017, is looking to showcase its products to manufacturers looking for high quality and reliable delivery for use in the nuclear, oil & gas, aerospace, petrochemical, motorsport and marine sectors.
AWI’s new campaign – ‘Certainty in an Uncertain World’ – will be launched for the first time in Germany and will highlight the firm’s ability to ‘make to order’ in just 3 weeks and its huge stock range that now exceeds 200 tonnes of more than 60 different alloys.
A 10-strong team will be on Stand 11E26 in Dusseldorf to talk through technical requirements, material application and to help solve potential manufacturing situations around the need for corrosion resistant and high temperature performing wire.
Angus Hogarth, Sales Director at AWI, commented: “Wire 2018 is the biggest show for our sector and once again we have upped our presence by investing in the size of the stand, the unique design and the amount of knowledge we will have available.
“One of our largest and most diverse markets globally is the spring manufacturing industry. They produce compression springs, tensions springs, torsion springs and formed parts from our material to perform in critically demanding places like aircraft engines, nuclear installations and deep down oil wells – where other wire regularly fails to perform.”
He continued: “We understand exactly what the spring maker needs and supply exactly how they want it, guaranteeing consistency in temper and a dead cast whether that is wire in coils with soap coating or clean on spools. There is even the option of straight bars.
“What we do really well is that we can produce any wire size between 21mm to 0.025mm to close tolerances. There has also been a lot of demand for wire that is certified to an increasing number of specifications, or produced to the customer’s own special material properties.”
Operating across 55 countries worldwide, Alloy Wire has held the AS9100 Aerospace & Defence quality accreditation for over five years.
All of its 60 different High Performance alloys are DFARS and EU compliant and can be supplied in quantities from 3 metres to 3 tonnes.
